New Themes

Added two more themes today. The one your currently viewing is still a work in progress. Major differences are the nifty image header and hover effects on the recent entries. There will be a couple pod changes necessary if you plan on using the hover effects. Instead of using breaks you'll need to surround your links with html list markers. Ive also been playing around with swapping the menu right to left. Its simple and takes a quick edit of the style.css to make it work. If you would like to try the new skin installation just post me a comment. I'd like some testers before I pack it up for download.

Nifty Skin Changes

I'll be changing up the way the nifty skins work. If you havent noticed yet, theres a skin chooser over on the right somewhere. I have about 5 color themes I'll be putting up. Once I finish getting them up you can download the new themes and setup instructions.

Nifty Skin Update

Updated the Nifty Skin download. There were some unecessary css functions still in there. I also got rid of a strange bug where the post content seemed to randomly generate white space. I havent figured out the cause, but the problem seems to have gone away after the last style.css update. You can alwasy download the newest version on the right in the LINKY LINKY section. I'll put up a build date/time so I dont have to keep posting about updates.

Nifty Corners

Ive pretty much finished getting the nifty corners thing worked out. One improvement I would make on blogCFC is better seperation of some of the css. Using div IDs instead of classes would be nice, along with seperate styles for editor.cfm. Although none of these issues are show stoppers for doing layouts, it certainly makes it more difficult to package blogCFC themes as a drop in install. I kept the changes to layout.cfm, podlayout.cfm and style.css with some added jscript and and additional css files. I also found one minor layout bug on index.cfm. You'll need to add some cfoutputs around the divs on line 169 and 175 to properly allign the "no entries found" message. If your interested in trying out the layout, you can download it here. Nifty Corners

In an effort to make rounded corners as played out as drop shadows I've been testing an implementation of Nifty Corners on Ray Camdens Blog. So far, so good. I'll stay within the confines of Rays style sheet and the 2 layout files for now. Once i get all the bugs out I'll zip up the package for download.
